From exploring the mind-body connection and seeking inner happiness, to Ayurvedic approaches to women’s health and calming the mind, an array of internationally renowned visiting practitioners and additional wellness activities will complement Chiva-Som Hua Hin’s already comprehensive and highly personalised offering from June through to September.
June: Mind-body health with Angie Tourani
During June, Advanced Certified BodyTalk Practitioner and MindScape Instructor Angie Tourani will be on hand to support guests’ understanding of the mind-body connection, with a specific focus on stress management, mental health and immunity. Angie specialises in addressing emotional issues, anxiety, immune system weaknesses, digestive issues and hormonal problems.
Angie is available for consultations throughout the month (THB 10,000++ / approx.. GBP 220++ for 80 minutes) and will also offer three complimentary sessions each week. The first of these is Holistic Health Strategies for Managing Stress, Burnout and Promoting Balance – a workshop which will see Angie share practical tools to overcome overwhelm, shift stress to resilience and transform chaos into calm.
The second is Mind-Body Medicine, Enhancing Immunity in the Modern World – a talk in which Angie will support guests’ understanding of the delicate equilibrium of attack vs tolerance and the balance needed to avoid infections, inflammation and auto-immune conditions.
Finally, Gut–Brain Axis for Optimising Immunity and Mental Health is a discussion for those seeking to explore the association between gut flora and mental wellbeing, as well as learn simple tools to balance gut microbiomes to shift the immune system out of inflammatory mode.
Furthering mental wellbeing and nutritional understanding, Chiva-Som Hua Hin’s holistic health practitioner Sarunya Khawsanit will lead a Tibetan Bowls Sound Bath on 13th June, while the resort’s pharmacist, Neeraya Wongsritrang will conduct an insightful talk on probiotics for a healthy life on 19th June.
Providing additional support for stress management, Chiva-Som will offer complimentary group classes, including circuit training, meditation and a new ‘exercise for better sleep’ fitness class, helping guests to strengthen the mind, body and spirit.
July: Calming the mind and Ayurvedic perspectives with Rajeshwari Amol Nerukar
Throughout July, visiting energy healer and physical therapist, Rajeshwari Amol Nerukar will enhance guests’ bespoke wellness journeys at Chiva-Som with weekly calming sound baths and Ayurvedic perspectives on women’s health.
A renowned Reiki Master, Rajeshwari focuses on how emotions can cause negative physical imbalances, implementing healing energy practices to restore and improve wellbeing.
In her weekly sessions, Ayurvedic Perspective on Women’s Health, Rajeshwari will focus on the Ayurvedic tenet that the human body consists of female energy known as Shakti. Discussions will look at how nature offers principles to balance energy throughout key female life stages, such as menarche, pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause.
Helping guests to tune out distractions and focus on peace, relaxation and tranquillity, Rajeshwari will also guide guests into a deep meditative state during Sound Bath Meditation sessions, supporting stress relief and powerful healing experiences.
In addition to complimentary weekly group sessions, private 80-minute sound bath and energy consultation sessions with Rajeshwari are also available from THB 10,000++ (approx.. GBP 220++) and THB 12,500++ (approx.. GBP 275++) respectively.
Guests interested in elevating their sound healing experiences can also join resident holistic practitioner Charin Srikhaophong on 17th July for a full-meditative Tibetan Bowls Sound Bath.
26th July: Sustainability and wellbeing with mangrove planting day
To celebrate the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem, Chiva-Som will invite guests to join staff in a day of planting mangroves seedlings; immersing themselves in the healing benefits of nature, whilst supporting regeneration of this vital habitat.
August: Intuitive paths to happiness and peaceful mindsets
Encouraging inner happiness, master healer, spiritual teacher and intuitive mentor, Anna Hughes’ weekly Intuition: A Path to Expanding Happiness in Life workshops centre on how finding purpose is key to a long and happy life. Guests will be encouraged to connect with their inner selves and apply spiritual energy techniques to their everyday lives in order to achieve long-term wellness and prosperity.
Private 80-minute healing and reading consultations with Anna Hughes are also available from THB12,500++ (approx.. GBP 275++).
Rajeshwari Amol Nerukar’s weekly Sound Bath Meditation sessions also continue throughout August, and Charin Srikhaophong returns to host another Tibetan Bowls Sound Bath on 14th August.
26th – 30th August: Women’s fitness with Natalie Dau
From 26th to 30th August, Chiva-Som will be teaming up with celebrity trainer Natalie Dau, an ultra-marathon champion, Spartan Asia champion, and author of the recently published book ‘Run Like a Woman’, for next-level performance training.
Natalie will be hosting training sessions and workshops designed to push guests beyond their limits: Strength Workout for Women focuses on exercises specifically beneficial for women; Exercises Everyone Should Be Doing Over 40, guiding participants through simple tests to identify their strengths and weaknesses, and helping them create a long-term fitness plan tailored to their needs; and Running for All, covering everything from the best warm-up techniques and pacing strategies to fuelling, hydration, and training plans. The sessions will be open to all guests to book on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
September: Exercise to support cardiovascular health
During September, Chiva-Som’s activity programme will include morning beach power walks, circuit training, boot camp sessions and hikes in the beautiful hills of Hua Hin designed to elevate guests’ heart rates and support cardiovascular health.
Rajeshwari Amol Nerukar’s Ayurvedic Perspective on Women’s Health sessions also return throughout September, guiding guests through the various stages and changes that happen during a woman’s life.
Optimal wellbeing for mind, body and spirit from June to September with Chiva-Som
Helping guests focus on all aspects of wellbeing, Chiva-Som’s June to September programming encourages guest reflection on wellness through activities that support mind, body and spirit.
Every other Saturday, guests can embark on a Serenity Cruise aboard a traditional junk, calming the mind with the lull of the sea waves, reviving the body with the cool breeze and finding spiritual comfort in the beauty of the sun setting for the day (THB 3,500++ / approx.. GBP 75++ per person).
