The award recognises F.I.S.’s leadership role in the sector as evidenced by LTM revenues at the end of September 2023 of about 725 million euros, over 2,000 employees, three plants in Italy, an important presence in the USA and Japan, and a representative office in China.
The award collected by CEO Michele Gavino is a tribute to F.I.S.’s dedication and ongoing commitment to business excellence and sustainability. The Best Performance Award, in fact, is a recognition to those Italian companies that distinguish themselves in sustainable development understood in a broad sense, i.e. as the ability to do business while guaranteeing the continuity of the company while respecting the human and environmental dimension, innovation and economic management.
For the company, being considered among the best at creating economic, technological, human, social and environmental value in an overall sustainable manner is an honour and an encouragement to continue its mission of investing in R&D and stimulating innovation in the field of active pharmaceutical ingredients and small molecules.
Indeed, both sustainability and research are two of the fundamental pillars of the company’s activity. F.I.S. actively engages in research and development of innovative chemical processes through its R&D team of more than 250 highly qualified professionals, and constantly seeks to improve its industrial practices to reduce polluting emissions, minimise the exploitation of natural resources and promote energy efficiency.
“I am very proud of this award, which is a recognition for the entire F.I.S. team and for the commitment that the entire company has made over the last few years in every context in which it operates, in addition to the market,” said Michele Gavino, F.I.S. President and CEO.
